Mirador Marina Residences is a contemporary residential complex designed by Quark Studio to fit the ever-evolving urban cityscape of Tuzla, Istanbul, Turkey. Situated in a neighborhood that is known for its coastal character, this urban transformation aims to provide an enhanced lifestyle to the residents, thus converting the area of Tuzla cityscape into an urban sanctuary. This multistory building spans over a total construction area of 11 400 square meters, and consists of 18 Duplex flats, and 54 Standard flats.

The craftsmanship of the design and construction is a primary focal point of Mirador Marina Residences, with interior and exterior features that create a polished ambience in which every detail is meticulously tailored. This U-shaped building showcases dramatic shifts in materiality on its facades, where the strong, solid structural elements are combined with large glazed fenestrations that are lighter and transparent. These fenestrations also increase visual interaction with the surrounding coastal environment, rejuvenating the ambience of the interiors for its residents.

Quark Studio’s architectural priority for the Mirador Marina Residences was to develop apartments that are modern and luxuriously designed to satisfy upscale living, while providing ample privacy and self-containment without becoming isolated. Each apartment consists of a series of spacious living, dining, kitchen and accommodation spaces that fit the metropolitan living. The living area is well illuminated by the wide windows, and the choice of furniture and décor create an intimate space for the residents to have a relaxing evening. A partition wall separates the living from the dining area, while still maintaining visual continuity. The open kitchen encourages interactions between the family members around meal preparation, transforming the atmosphere of everyday life. The master bedroom and bathroom are designed to become the most intimate areas of ​​the apartment, with a good balance between coziness and spaciousness, along with expansive views of the beach that blur the limit between indoors and outdoors.

The interiors are composed of materials, colors and textures that are subdued and natural, and different choices were made according to the changes in function. Timber and Marble dominate the design, repeatedly seen as flooring, counters, wall cupboards and other fixtures. Deep grey doors and windows are highlighted against the beige walls, while furniture and upholstery share monochromatic hues of grey. Contemporary furniture has been mixed with modern art pieces to complement these neutral hues of the interiors.

With its modern architectural style and exquisite services and facilities, Mirador Marina Residences brings a sense of identity to its residents while breathing new life into the area, becoming a luxurious reinterpretation of urban condominiums.
